Our Curriculum

At Faith + Forest, we've designed a multi-disciplinary curriculum to nurture the whole child—mind, body, and spirit—through hands-on exploration, meaningful connections, and joyful learning. We center our studies around five core pillars: Faith, Nature, Literature, Social Studies, and Movement.

Faith Formation

Grounded in Christian values, our faith-based lessons include scripture reading, character-building discussions, devotional activities, and service projects. We encourage students to see God’s hand in the world around them and to cultivate kindness, empathy, and integrity.

Nature Studies

Students engage in weekly nature walks, seasonal observations, journaling, and outdoor science experiments. We explore local ecosystems, plant and animal life, weather patterns, and environmental stewardship through a lens of curiosity and gratitude for creation.

Literature & Storytelling

Children immerse themselves in classic and contemporary literature, folk tales, and poetry. Our approach emphasizes read-alouds, narration, creative expression, and discussion. We use literature as a bridge to explore history, values, and imagination.

Social Studies & Cultural Awareness

Our social studies curriculum introduces students to communities past and present, both locally and globally. Through stories, crafts, and collaborative projects, we explore geography, historical figures, cultural traditions, and civic responsibility in age-appropriate ways.

Movement & Mindfulness

Each gathering includes time for physical activity—whether it’s guided nature play, folk dancing, yoga, cooperative games, or outdoor exploration. We believe movement is essential to learning and aim to support healthy habits, coordination, and social interaction.
